Should I book a videographer based in the Cotswolds?
You might be wondering if you need to book a wedding videographer based in the Cotswolds, and while we are based locally, you don’t necessarily need to only consider a local videographer for your wedding. In fact, there’s something really exciting about bringing someone in from somewhere else. Personally, we find that shooting in new locations really sparks our creativity. It’s a chance to see things with fresh eyes, which can lead to capturing those special, unexpected moments in a really vibrant way. With so many venues in this absolutely stunning part of the country you might find a videographer nearby that hasn’t filmed at your venue before.
Professional videographers are used to travelling and quickly getting the lay of the land, ensuring they catch all the important angles and moments, no matter where they are. Many videographers are happy to travel to your wedding, as for us one of the best parts of the job is getting to create wedding films in different parts of the country.
Cotswold Wedding Videographer: Our Approach, Cinematic or Documentary?

For us, our wedding videography approach is all about seamlessly blending into your day, creating films in a natural, documentary style, our unintrusive approach allows you to enjoy yourselves fully, films that capture the moments you might not even notice are happening around you.

“The best thing we ever did for our wedding, we will be watching our video together until we’re old and wrinkly!”
Why it’s important to consider your preferred style of wedding video:
Choosing the right style for your wedding video is important because it effects the approach of the videographer on the day and the final film that you will receive.
Here’s a quick look at the two main styles:
Documentary Style: This is all about capturing your day as it really happens – real moments as they unfold. It’s perfect if you want a true-to-life memory of your wedding, showing the laughter, tears, and everything in between, exactly how it happened. This approach tends to let you enjoy your day without interruption.
Cinematic Style: Think of this as your wedding transformed into a movie. It’s more about creating a dramatic, polished look with lots of artistic touches. If you love the idea of your wedding day looking like a film, this might be the style for you. This approach might need you to spend more dedicated time with the videographer on the day away from family and friends to capture specific shots.
Knowing which style you lean towards helps ensure that your wedding video feels just right. We specialise in documentary style, focusing on capturing genuine, candid moments that let you relive your day, exactly how it felt. So if keeping it real and heartfelt is what you’re looking for, we’ve got you covered!

FAQ’s: Answering the most commonly asked questions when looking for a wedding videographer in the Cotswolds.
How much does a Cotswolds wedding videographer cost?
Most couples spend between £1,750 and £2,700 for full-day coverage. That includes travel, which covers the Cotswolds. I keep my pricing simple and transparent so you know exactly what to expect.
Which Cotswolds venues do you cover?
I regularly film across the Cotswolds, from historic manor houses and barns to countryside hotels and marquee weddings. Whether you’re celebrating in a tucked-away village or a grand estate, I’ll adapt to the setting and capture the atmosphere of your day.
Do you film intimate weddings and elopements in the Cotswolds?
Yes, absolutely. I love filming smaller gatherings and elopements — the Cotswolds is perfect for that, with its rolling hills, stone cottages, and quiet outdoor spots. The films often feel extra personal because of the intimacy of the day.
What style of wedding films do you create?
My style is natural and documentary-led. I don’t stage moments or ask you to perform for the camera; instead, I quietly capture things as they happen, focusing on real emotions and the story of your day.
Will you include drone footage at my Cotswolds wedding?
Where it’s safe and permitted, yes. Drone footage can add a lovely perspective to your wedding film, showing the countryside and venue surroundings in a way that complements the story on the ground.
How long will my wedding film be?
Every film is slightly different, but a typical feature edit is around 8–12 minutes. You’ll also receive separate edits of your full ceremony and speeches, so you can relive them in full whenever you like.
How soon will we receive our final films?
Most films are ready within 8-12 weeks, depending on the season. I’ll keep you updated throughout the process so you always know where things are up to, and can look forward to seeing the finished films.
Do you work with photographers on the day?
Yes, all the time. I’m used to working alongside photographers and make sure our approaches complement each other. My goal is to blend in, work quietly in the background, and let the day flow naturally.
Can we choose the music for our wedding film?
Music is a big part of how your film feels, so I always make sure it fits your style. I use licensed tracks so everything is legal for online sharing, and I’ll ask about the kind of vibe you like — whether that’s something cinematic, acoustic, or modern. You’re welcome to have input, and I’ll guide the final choice to make sure it flows naturally with your film.
