While hiring a local videographer familiar with Dorset’s unique venues can be an easy option, you’re not limited to choosing only those based nearby.

One of our favourite parts being a wedding filmmaker is exploring new places as we capture weddings across the UK and beyond.  We find that the excitement having fresh eyes and a somewhere new can bring really fuels the creativity for your wedding video.

In Dorset, we specialise in creating natural, documentary wedding videos that really capture the spirit of the day.  Our focus is to give you a video that feels real, and like you are living it all over again, real smiles, real emotion, nostalgia in the making.

Our discreet style of filming allows you to be fully present knowing you can trust your professional wedding videographer to blend into the background and capture all of the natural beauty which happens around you.  Cinematic wedding videos are often more like watching a movie back of your day, they are crafted to tell a certain narrative, and might look more like a film.

It’s worth considering the difference in styles when it comes to finding the right videographer for you.  Once you’ve found the style you love it will also help narrow your search.

Documentary Style (Like Us):

Captures candid, real moments as they naturally happen, preserving the genuine emotions of your wedding day.  You carry on with your day while we capture everything.

Cinematic Style:

A more film like feel to your day, with moments created for the film itself, often shows your day in a highly emotive version.  Might require dedicated time with your videographer for those polished shots.

By understanding the differences, you can choose a style that best reflects your vision, ensuring your wedding film is everything you imagined.

Here are some top venues in Dorset that we love:

Sopley Mill: A historic mill venue by the River Avon.

Lulworth Castle: Iconic castle venue with surrounding gardens.

Highcliffe Castle: Gothic mansion with stunning sea views.

Came House: A private Georgian mansion with countryside surrounds.

Larmer Tree Gardens: Unusual Roman Theatre, Singing Theatre and many other options.

Do we need one videographer or two for our Dorset wedding?

Most couples choose one videographer, which works beautifully for Dorset weddings. If you’re getting ready in separate locations, would like more coverage during the ceremony and speeches, or want extra moments captured while you step away for portraits, a second videographer can be added. I’m always happy to advise based on what matters most to you.

How long after our wedding will we receive the films?

Wedding films are usually delivered within 8–12 weeks. I’ll keep you updated throughout the editing process so you know what to expect and when everything will be ready.

Is travel included for weddings across Dorset?

Yes. Travel is included for weddings across Dorset, including coastal, countryside, and rural venues, with no additional travel costs added to your package.

Do you offer both wedding videography and photography?

I specialise in wedding videography only. I regularly work alongside photographers whose style complements mine, and I’m always happy to recommend photographers if you’re still looking.

What style of wedding videography do you offer?

My approach is natural and documentary-led, focusing on real moments rather than staged scenes. This works especially well for Dorset weddings, where the pace of the day and the setting often feel relaxed and unforced.
